71+ Designs You can Effortlessly Create in Canva Today even if you know Nothing about Graphic Design

Updated: Apr 3, 2022

You have probably heard of Canva if not, no worries. Let me explain.

Before I knew about Canva, I was a Fake graphic designer. What do I mean by that? What does it take to become a good graphic designer? What is Graphic design anyway?

Graphic design is simply the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of type (text), photos, and illustrations.

When I graduated from the University with a Bachelor’s in Information Technology in early 2016, I thought I knew a lot about graphic design simply because I was lucky enough to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and I was just starting to learn about 2D animated graphics in Adobe After effects which to most is a mystery.

When I got my first job as a graphic designer at a local Television station, I thought I had become a professional graphic designer. I even started learning how to create 3D models in Blender and later Maxon Cinema 4D because I have always been a life long learner.

Later, I realized that I was not learning new things anymore since I was the lead graphic designer and basically didn’t have anyone on top of me or better than me to learn from and improve myself professionally. I was this type of graphic designer who does who didn’t know much about graphic design and I didn’t realize that until later.

Never settled for less, looked for new opportunities, and luckily with a few connections especially from my big brother, I moved on to my second job as a Freelance graphic designer which was the biggest challenge for me and eventually made me realize that I actually didn’t know anything about graphic design.

I remember one day, my boss called me at his desk and asked me “What do you know about color?”.

Long story short, that is the day I started to discover some of the principles of design like alignment, repetition, contrast, color, typography among other elements and principles of design.

Did I really need to learn all that in the first place? It depends. If you are working for a Design Agency or a Television station like I did, maybe you need to or maybe you don’t.

To be honest, I still don’t think I needed to learn all that stuff but I did anyway.

But the thing is, you might not have the chance or more so the time to learn all that stuff and in fact, I don’t think it’s worth it, but that’s just me.

However, when I discovered that there are some online graphic design tools that make it extremely easy to create graphics by just dragging and dropping elements around, I was happy that I had found a graphic design tool that does require me to learn about the principles of graphic design and that’s when I started my Internet Marketing Journey.

Among the online marketing tools and software that I discovered while learning about Digital Marketing is Canva
