But if there is a part of the process that you don’t understand, you start wishing there was an easy way around it, or don’t

Now that's where Canva comes in handy.

You might have heard of it, probably if you have been looking for the easiest way to create graphics for your online platforms or social media channels without having to learn anything about graphic design or going through any time-consuming processes.

So, What is Canva?

Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create social media graphics, presentations, posters and other visual content. It is available on web and mobile, and integrates millions of images, fonts, templates and illustrations.

But that’s not all, with Canva, the most exciting part is that it’s free. Yeah, free, you can signup for free and start creating graphics for your website, blog, social media, and even print.

You can generate memes, remove background from any image however complex the background, design posters, design info-graphics, create and save color palettes, create brochures, design Twitter headers, create business cards and invitation, wedding or gift cards, YouTube thumbnails, website banners, design certificates, design logos and so much more.

There is more and you don’t have to learn a thing about color or typography to do all that.

Today I will show you the 10 most powerful tools in Canva Pro and How to use each one of them to enhance your designs and make them shareable. 

1. Brand kit Pro

This allows you to create a brand color palette and save them for any other images you will need to create. To do that, open Brand kit from your home page, create a new color palette, create a new color, and add your brand colors.

2. Canva library with Over 60 million premium photos (Photos Pro)

To use these images in your designs, start by creating a design, by choosing from the available templates or try searching from the search bar on your home page, open the photos tab, search for a premium asset. You can tell it’s a premium asset by the crown icon in the corner.

Next, add the premium photo to your design.

3. Magic Resize Pro

You might think the 60 million photos feature above is the coolest, I actually think the Magic resize is one of the most powerful tools in the Canva Pro, With the magic resize, all it takes is one click to resize your graphics to fit multiple platforms.

To resize your graphics, first set your image background, select the platforms you prefer in the Resize menu, Click copy and resize and let Canva pro do the magic.

4. Elements Pro

Remember when I said you don’t have to learn anything about graphic design to create beautiful graphics? Elements says it all because, with Elements Pro, you don’t have to import illustrations or download icons to use in your graphics.

You just create a design, open the Elements tab, search for a premium asset (with the crown icon), add the premium asset to your design and you are ready to go.

So far, we have looked at four cool tools or features in the Canva Pro, now this is a little different, I call this one the most powerful button in Canva Pro. The Publish button in Canva basic is powerful too but the Publish Pro in Canva Pro makes it the most powerful button for creating a transparent background.

Let’s say you have chosen your Canva premium template but you need that cool transparency in the graphics, what do you do?

Just delete the background, open the download menu in the top right of the Canva online editor, select download as PNG with transparent background, and select your download size.

Now, you might have been using Canva Pro but didn’t know about this cool feature. No worries because with Folders Pro, you just open folders from your home page and create a folder, open all your designs and drag and drop designs in your folder. Simple as that but so powerful

10. Background Pro

Follow the same steps of creating designs using Canva online graphics editor by creating your design, open the backgrounds tab and choose a background to apply to your design.
